# Resolving a Notification

Each notification has one button for the most useful next step. This page explains what to do in each section, what each button does, who can use it and when the notification clears.

### Start with the section

| If the notification is in | What to do |
| -------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Needs you** or **Older** | Use the button on the notification. These are yours to fix. |
| **We're on it** | Nothing. Daasity is working on it, and the notification clears when the problem is fixed. |
| **Recent** | Read it and use the button if it has one. Click **Dismiss** when you're done, or let it drop off after 7 days. |

### What each button does

| Button | You'll see it on | What it does |
| -------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Reauthorize** | Reconnect needed, and Couldn't reach the source when the cause is credentials or permissions | Lets you reconnect the integration with a login that has access to the source. |
| **Check connection** | Couldn't reach the source, for database integrations such as NetSuite or SQL Server | Tests the connection to your database again. |
| **Review** | Sheet didn't load, YML Definition Changed, Some data was skipped, Reports may be stale, Integration paused and others | Opens the details so you can see what went wrong. For skipped data, it shows what was skipped and why. |
| **Reload history** | Backfill didn't finish | Opens the integration so you can start the history load again. |
| **View file** | File couldn't be loaded | Shows you the file that couldn't be processed. |

Some notifications have no button because there is nothing for you to do, such as **Vendor issue**, **Report Quota Exceeded** and **Report Stalled at Source**.

### When the notification clears

You don't close an ongoing problem yourself. It closes in one of two ways, and the **Resolved** list on the **All** tab shows which:

| Reason shown | What happened |
| --------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **The integration recovered** | The integration worked again. This happens as soon as you reauthorize, a connection check succeeds, or a sheet loads successfully. |
| **Not seen for 7 days** or **Not seen for 14 days** | The problem stopped happening. Login and connection problems close after 7 quiet days, once the integration has also refreshed successfully. Sheet problems and vendor issues close after 14 quiet days. |

One-time events don't resolve. They stay in **Recent** for 7 days or until you click **Dismiss**.

### After you fix it

New data is pulled on the next scheduled refresh. If you need the data sooner, run the workflow again.

If the same problem comes back after it has cleared, it opens as a new notification and sends a new email.

### Got it, Dismiss and Acknowledge all

| Control | Use it for | What it does |
| ------------------- | ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Got it** | Ongoing problems | Shows you've seen it. It stops counting toward the number on the bell, but stays visible until the problem is fixed. You can undo it. |
| **Dismiss** | One-time events | Removes it from **Recent**. |
| **Acknowledge all** | Everything at once | Acknowledges every notification, from the Notifications page. |

### Who can use the buttons

Everyone on your account can see every notification.

* All users can use **Reauthorize** and **Check connection**.
* The other buttons are not available to entry-level users. They see a note to ask an admin on the account or contact support.
