# Notification Center

The Notification Center shows you what needs your attention and what Daasity is already handling, so you can tell at a glance whether your data is healthy.

### Where to find it

Click the bell icon at the top of the Daasity app. The bell shows the five most recent notifications in each section. Click **See all** to open the full Notifications page, where you can browse every notification by tab: **Needs you**, **We're on it**, **Recent**, **Older** and **All**.

A number on the bell is the count of notifications that still need you.

### How notifications are organized

| Section | What it means |
| --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Needs you** | Something only you can fix, like reconnecting an integration. Counts toward the number on the bell until you click **Got it** or the problem clears. |
| **Older** | Problems on an integration that hasn't refreshed successfully in more than 30 days. They no longer count toward the bell, but you can still act on them. |
| **We're on it** | Daasity is aware of the problem and is working on it. Nothing for you to do. |
| **Recent** | One-time events from the last 7 days. |
| **Resolved** | Problems that cleared in the last 30 days, with the reason they cleared. Shown on the **All** tab. |

### Ongoing problems vs. one-time events

Notifications come in two kinds:

* **Ongoing problems** stay open until the underlying issue is fixed. Example: an integration that needs to be reconnected.
* **One-time events** tell you something happened. Example: a file that couldn't be loaded. They appear in **Recent** and drop off after 7 days.

See the Notification Types page for the full list.

### What happens to an ongoing problem

1. The problem is detected. A notification opens and one email is sent.
2. If the problem happens again, the same notification updates (for example, "Seen 5 times"). You are not emailed again.
3. Click **Got it** to acknowledge it. It stops counting toward the bell but stays visible until the problem is fixed. You can undo this.
4. If the integration goes more than 30 days without a successful refresh, the notification moves to **Older**.
5. When the problem is fixed, the notification resolves itself and moves to **Resolved** with the reason. You do not need to mark anything as solved.
6. If the problem comes back later, it opens as a new notification and sends a new email.

### Acting on a notification

Each notification has one button for the most useful next step, such as **Reauthorize** or **Check connection**. All users can reauthorize and check connections. Other actions are not available to entry-level users, who should ask an admin on the account or contact support.

Other controls:

* **Got it** - acknowledge an ongoing problem.
* **Dismiss** - clear a one-time event.
* **Acknowledge all** - acknowledge everything at once, from the Notifications page.

These replace the old **Mark as solved** button.

### If the bell is muted

A muted bell with a slash through it means notifications are turned off for your account. Admins can turn them on from the bell. Other users can contact support.

An orange dot on the bell means notifications are on but no one is set to receive emails. See the Email Notifications page to choose recipients.
